Cutting Edge Stencils Presents A New Home Decorating Trend: DIY Stenciled Headboards
Get out of bed, my stencil loving bedheads! Go ahead, allow yourself one last lazy yawn and a final stretch. When you see the Stencil Story we have for you today, you’ll be bouncing out of bed! Lately, we’ve been seeing DIY stenciled headboards EVERYWHERE, ever since Beckie’s Zagora stenciled headboard was featured in Better Homes & Gardens. Its like painting and stenciling your own headboard is the hot new home decorating trend! Hey, if it involves DIY and adding a pattern design- then you KNOW Cutting Edge Stencils just head over heels in love with the idea! So let’s get started at oohing and ahhing over these stenciled beauties!
Trellis Allover Stencil: DIY Stenciled Upholstered Headboard
First up is our crafty DIY friend and blogger behind, A Little Tipsy. Michelle has quite the little love story for her DIY stenciled upholstered headboard. You see Michelle and her husband had never had a headboard but after seeing what Beckie from Infarrantly Creative made, she had her heart set on making her one. After choosing our Trellis Allover Stencil, Michelle got to work painting some fabric. Once the fabric was stenciled, Michelle followed the instructions on how to construct a headboard on Infarrantly Creative. Michelle says, “…let me tell you I am IN LOVE with it! The pattern is amazing and the sheen of the fabric ink is so cool!” We have to agree, it is so cool! If this was our bed, we’d be laying in it all day just staring at its loveliness.
Nagoya Stencil: DIY Stenciled Door Headboard
Next we have our buddy Nikki, who is the creative gal behind the blog, The Lovely Residence. Nikki had two items on her to-do list. The first was that she wanted to make a headboard for her bed and the second was that she wanted to join the stenciling craze. That’s when she decided she could do both in one project! You see, Nikki had an old hallway door that was collecting dust in the basement. The creative genius inside of her said, “Why not make this into your headboard?” So she selected the craft size Nagoya Stencil for her project and after watching our How-To videos went off into the basement to create her door/headboard. And ta-da! Here is what she ended up with, a glamorous looking headboard indeed!
Zamira Stencil: DIY Painted and Stenciled Headboard
Meet Sam, a diy crafter and the blogger behind The Junk House. Sam wanted to make her own headboard but had a bit of problem. She was determined to complete her project but kept running into crafting hiccups with the fabric. She just couldn’t find a fabric that worked well with the room. That’s when the stencil light bulb went on in her head and she decided to stencil her own fabric. Since she could customize the design and the color; her problem was solved. Sam selected the Zamira Allover Stencil for her project along with a robin’s egg blue paint color. Here’s how it all turned out… GAWGEOUS! Sam says, “I’m so happy with how it turned out. Having a headboard makes the room look so much more finished!” We think it makes quite the statement as well!
